Pickgeo is a startup that was born during the COVID-19 pandemic. A group of guys from UPM, in their spare time, while we were all teleworking, had an idea. We would create a platform that would integrate all our knowledge about artificial intelligence to offer a global service to retailers. We would call this massive prototype TIGER.
When we entered the ActuaUPM competition (one of the biggest startup competitions in Spain, organized by my university), they made it clear to us: the only way to win was to focus our efforts and seek to be the best in a single aspect. We decided to focus on geolocalized business intelligence. Helping retailers choose the best place to open their new point of sale. It was such a good decision that we won the competition that year.
Since then the idea has matured. The application has gone through different frameworks and layouts. However, the essence is the same. Let’s be the best at this. So, to this day, I can be very happy with what we have built. A company that grows and gives us a lot of joy. Hopefully, we can continue to enjoy it for a long time.
